Christmas Keto Menus

(Jane) #1

I plan to be strict keto for Christmas… unlike Thanksgiving where we enjoyed 2 indulgences.

What keto menus are you guys planning?

So far I have on mine:
Lamb Kebobs
Brussels Sprouts w/bacon and pine nuts
Keto green bean casserole
Deviled Eggs
SF Cheesecake (thanks @Digital_Dave)

That’s about it for now. Just the two of us so not making a huge amount.

You’re most welcome! … Not real sure what we’re having just yet, but will post it when we do. @DoggieMom ???

But I will be making someone special a Chocolate Cheese Cake. She placed that order after I made the small one for her a while back. But I will be making a full size & my Son and I will be helping her with it.

I won’t have many issues with a Christmas Lunch, I can behave myself. Though I will struggle with all of the dips, and not having anything to dip them with or eat cheese/guacamole. So I am going to take my own. One serving of mums Potato Salad and I’ll be a happy camper  800973

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #4

Turkey, cauliflower mash, pearl onions in Bechamel sauce, keto cheesecake, and other items TBD.

#5

Traditional Festivus Fathead this year as it’s just the two of us :slightly_smiling_face:

Last year we had guests & went full middle eastern mezze (x’mas day is hot in Australia)

Going to try this recipe I found. Wish me luck

Ok, tastes good. Still has to thicken, but it’s eggnog My first homeade eggnog (happy tears

Chicken legs prepared 3 ways, moderate veggie tray with a cheese and bacon dip, sausage stuffed mushrooms. I’m not sure what my friend is bringing but it will be keto. All “finger food” while we watch Hallmark Christmas movies. There’s a good chance we will go over 20 carbs but they will all be good-for-us carbs.

We’re going really traditional and doing dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse. :smile_cat:

(Sophie) #10

I’m roasting 2 ducks and reheating leftover keto stuffing from Thanksgiving that I froze. I did get some cranberries that I’ll ketofy and I’ll make some giblet gravy from the duck bits. Maybe some deviled eggs and I’ll play with making a chocolate cheesecake. I’ve got a week to shake out the rest of it. Loaded cauli? Brussel sprouts? Sauteed cabbage? I dunno.

Haven’t decided exactly. Likely Oysters on the half shell and rib roast (prime rib). Maybe cauliflower steaks (garlic, parmesan cheese) seared in avocado oil.

I’m planning on staying home by myself, (wife will be off at my sister’s for the day), so it’ll either be business as usual, or might just not eat. Won’t decide until then, I guess.

#14

We’re having:

Spiral sliced ham
Green beans with bacon
Cheesy almond flour biscuits

Cheesecake with caramel sauce
Chocolate candy cane Swiss roll

All 100% keto. Will probably ask my MIL to bring her famous potatoes though so the non-keto guests can get their carbs in!

(Jane) #15

She won’t be bringing you leftovers home???

(Mike W.) #16

Have you tried using pork rinds? It’s my goto “dip delivery vehicle”

(Running from stupidity) #17

Oh, it’s a keto Christmas thing, so even if she does, it’s not a problem. She does seem to have converted my sister and associated families HARD

+1

I did once with sour cream, why did I forget about that? It was pretty good.

(Mike W.) #19

I use them for dips, nachos, “caramel corn”, crushed up in place of breadcrumbs etc

(Lazy, Dirty Keto 😝) #20

This is so cute  I don’t have time for all that though :joy:
