wild.

ya know I never see ‘high fructose corn syrup’ being attacked out there like it was when it became the buzz words. I guess people gave up…I mean even tho everyone was yelling don’t eat it etc., don’t use the products with it on the label, sure is out there in tons of products and doing very well and thriving too. Not like yelling don’t eat stuff with high fructose corn syrup means anything anymore kinda.

I ‘see’ so many getting wiser but not enough…I sure never see the corps changing their products either thru popluation demand.

ok…just chatting, had that on the brain LOL

This made me laugh, though I shouldn’t have. It’s very sad to see children very overweight. My two boys are very healthy looking, and very active. I do try to limit their sugar intake, and I have been cutting down on my youngest boy’s applejuice and watering it down, he is already drinking a lot less applejuice now, and instead mostly water and milk, though he eats plenty of fiber-rich, fresh fruit, which I encourage. My oldest boy don’t eat fruit but has begun to eat a lot more vegetables at dinnertime. I think though, the reason a lot of people end up consuming too much sugar, both glucose and fructose, is that they have neither the time nor the inclination to scrutinise ingredient-lists of the countless products sold in a supermarket. My SO bought me some smoked salmon, but he didn’t check the ingredients, and when I saw it contained sugar, I gave it back to my SO who ate it himself. It is so easy to overlook these things, and both sugar and fructose goes under many names, with the general knowledge people have it’s no wonder the general population’s health is on the decline. As sugar depletes antioxidants, and leeches vital minerals and vitamins from the body. And fructose overloads the liver.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #6

Which is a very good reason to eat only whole real foods.
