CHEEAAAAT Day! What do i do now?

#1

had a bad day. friend at work was going through a rough time (got fired and is in the middle of a divorce) and asked me to join him at a bar. I haven’t had a drink in a while, and been pretty strict about staying under 30 grams carbs for the last few years. I ended up having 3 beers, 4 tacos and 4 donuts.

the damage has been done and i’m now feeling the pain, both physically, mentally and emotionally. after all that hard work, i let myself go.

plan to just fast, run tomorrow and Sunday morning for a few miles and burn what i just ingested. Any other suggestions of what can be done to mitigate the damage of excess carbs?

Do as you plan as it is a good one and try to eliminate stressing about stumbling. Stress will make it tougher. IMHO

Be thankful you’re not him, and KCKO.

Id say make sure to keep hydrated (ive never had one but Supposedly hangovers can be a ****), salt if needed and KO. Yeah youll probably suffer a bit but the sooner you go back to your regularly sceduled wow, the sooner youll feel better.

I have planned cheat days once a month, I don’t feel bad after.

Man…
Sorry about your friend
That’s a tough one!!

Bottom line , you were there to listen, support and …just be friends

Today is another day
Don’t look back …delete the food log entry lol
Donuts and beer…mmmm good though
Stay hydrated
And continue to support your friend ( not at a bar ) if needed, for the next time
Perhaps over coffee or a BPC?

Good luck

Well that escalated dramatically, the donuts seem so out of place in that menu. That said, so what, one day can’t throw away years of under 30 grams of carbs, that’s far more impressive than one day of 118ish carbs. I hope I have your story to tell in three years time.

Yes, it did escalate quickly. It’s a slippery slope, once I allowed myself to get the tacos, getting the donuts later wasn’t really a challenge. i convinced myself that this cheat day was going to be epic, also my alcohol tolerance is a lot lower than what it once was.

All in all, i did enjoy myself thoroughly, and have since fasted for 16 hours and counting. Didn’t feel great last night after those donuts, but starting to feel like myself again slowly…trying to get to 48 hours straight with nothing but water, bone broth and little salt.

Thanks for all the support, everyone! couldn’t have done it without you.
