Cheating with chocolate

Hey guys
So I don’t touch rice bread pasta etc typical carbs but I absolutely can not I mean not not eat chocolate and I feel like that’s staling my weight loss, I’ve literally easily said no thanks to the most amazing baked carb goods but once I see chocolate I turn into a crazy cow , help plz

If you can carry on to the point of eating only a square or two of 90% dark chocolate, you’ll be fine.

If you’re overeating regular milk chocolate (and its carbs), the only way I see you containing that at some point is upping your Keto game to squelch those cravings…

Good luck!

That’s tough!! Maybe look up keto friendly desserts to take the place!! There is a great recipe for a chocolate mousse :chocolate_bar: made using heavy whipping cream and sugar free chocolate pudding mixes!! it’s very good and really rich, so a little goes a long way towards cravings!! Good luck!!

I’m a total chocoholic. If it’s in the house I’ll eat it. Since I quit buying it and having it easily accessible I seem to crave it less. But if you must have it go for a higher 90% chocolate. It will have less carbs

Another alternative is to melt some unsweetened chocolate with stevia and heavy cream. That way you get the sweetness without the sugar and with minimal carbohydrate.

That helped me a lot, in the early days. Now I prefer my chocolate plain.

I haven’t worked up past 60 percent chocolate yet.

Plus I eat 2dark 1 milk in my mouth at a time.

I made me up some 7 carb snack packs and froze them.

By the time they’ve all melted in my mouth I’m satisfied.
Not perfect but a start.

I misunderstood the topic… I must have been thinking of a different website. :smirk:

Two dirty great minds think alike!

I’ve seen a couple of videos about people doing that, sometimes with little molds to make their own cute little chocolate chips. It’s on my “wanna try someday” list but hasn’t happened yet.

I like my chocolate chips to have a little sweetness and using the (close to) 100% dark ones leave me wanting something they just don’t have. It’s not the same having the sweetness all around them but none in them, at least not to me. I guess it’s a little like my coffee, I like some sweetness. It doesn’t have to be huge, but a little. Now the cream,… that has to be huge. LOL!!

Bri, don’t you do stevia?

(Brian) #11

I do.

I’ve heard tell that there are chocolate chips that are already sweetened with stevia but I’ll be darned if I can find any in a local store. Maybe I’ll have a look on Amazon and see if I can find something there for the next order.

I’m now eating guittard 63 percent dark cocao all by themselves.

30 mini chips is 5g of carbs.
