Cheat Day or not

What are your thoughts on 1 cheat day on Keto. Do you think we can maintain weight loss or our current weight especially when your in the phase of maintaining the weight. Just curious. I think my work week (5 days) is a great way to keep up the keto, and then day off why not have a cheat day.

Cheat MEAL! Not DAY! A cheat DAY can very easily erase a week in the gym. If you’re at maintenance, no longer insulin resistant (assuming you were) and not prone to a cheat meal sending you into a binge that derails you, then have at it. But make sure that’s the case. For many people eating this way long term when I eat a cheat meal it’s no longer a binge that tries to happen, no more sick feelings, I just go along as normal, eat my keto meals again and about a day or two later the little voice starts very sneakily tempting me to eat crap I shouldn’t, goes on for days every damn time. But I know it’s coming every time so I’m ready with keto snacks and coffee!

I agree, I do an occasional cheat item, like a glass of milk or a tamale. So far it has worked out okay. I am at six months.

I definitely agree a cheat meal is better than a cheat day. I have ice cream on my day off or around my mentrual cravings and it hasn’t set me back. But I’m going to see my progress this coming week and see if I’m still losing.
