Chaffles make me happy

Bought my Dash mini-waffle maker 2 years ago after reading so many posts about them on this site…finally started using it two weeks ago (I’m slow to try new things at times, lol) and I love it! Have used them for waffles with some sugar-free whipped cream and they’re so good; was adding a teaspoonful of pure maple syrup to top them but think that sweetness was too triggering for me. Missed the syrup this morning, but trying to be more carb compliant and they still tasted pretty good thanks to the whipped cream and a generous amount of Kerrygold butter. Last week I made some with a little salt and pepper to substitute for biscuits, and that worked well. This week will try to make some to be a hamburger bun substitute, expecting great results.

Wondering if others are still making chaffles (since I’m late on this trend) or if I’ll be able to find some waffle makers on the cheap at thrift stores now, lol

I had to lookup what the heck a ‘chaffle’ was, and I’m soooo glad I did. The man and I bought a waffle maker earlier this year, and obviously now waffles are well and truly off the menu (for me, anyhoo).

Chaffles sound marvelous, and I’ll definitely be giving them a go : )

My best post chaffle maker purchase was some “everything bagel” seasoning… i also like the savory ones with cream cheese.

I once found a site that had tons of variations on the basic recipes, if I come across it again will try to link it here.

That’s a great idea! That will be my next experiment, will have to get more eggs soon.
