Thanks for the quick reply.
Assuming I have a skin full, will it probably take a few days to get back into ketosis?
Also, should expect to put weight on?

MAYBE a little water weight, but it should drop right back off.
You’ll be back into ketosis as soon as you’re done processing the alcohol. It doesn’t really kick you out, it just stalls.
When people ask me what I miss from my pre-keto eating, my answer is always “Beer and Bojangles”.
That said, I do have a Mich Ultra after skating in a hockey game, while the rest of the team has the higher-carb stuff.
Ok I see. Thanks for the help.
I am really nervous/uneasy about the night. I would avoid it if I could.
If you want to avoid alcohol altogether but keep up appearances, you could also just get soda water with a lime. Bartenders are used to the request since it’s a pretty common trick for recovering alcoholics.
I quite happily drink soda water when I’m with my mates etc. It has raised a few eyebrows I can tell you. I’m known as someone who likes a beer or two!!
Being Australian sucks half the time, especially when Keto and Marijuana are involved.
But I am proud to say we do have one thing that I love and that is 0 carb big head beer, oh yes.
If you are new to this WOE i would be more concerned about getting hammered off a couple drinks. I couldn’t drink anywhere near a whole night now if I wanted to. My tolerance is incredibly low since going Keto. How would this scenario be played out by your boss if you were a recovering alcoholic? Nobody’s gonna tell me I HAVE to drink. I can have just as good of a time sober…
Ugh. The beer cellar. So much goodness just collecting dust now…mostly I bet I’ve still got close to 100 bottles down there…
I sure do have loved my beer. But, so far, I have not had any issues switching over to bourbon and scotch. I do not miss the beers. the night never stopped at one. But with the hard liquor it’s easy to stop at one. Great decision on my part.
Yep, I’m at around 250. My friends are loving it because I keep brining bottles over for pretty much any get together. I’ll pour a taster for myself, so at least I can have some, and check in on untapped (I’m an untapped junkie), then they drink the rest.
My wife loves bourbon, but I just haven’t developed a taste for it, unfortunately. I love bourbon barrel aged beer, but I just can’t do the bourbon on its own yet.
I enjoy a good beer share. Definitely don’t need to try everything anymore. I’ve come to the conclusion that every BA stout tastes identical.
Oohhh, I’d love to have a bottle share with you and change your mind. I have a few ladder collections, my favorite being Velvet Merkin from Firestone Walker. I started the collection in 2014 and buy as many as I can get my hands on every year.
I doubt that. I don’t use Untappd but I bet I could log 1000 check ins. I just don’t like the super sweet stuff anymore. I did however open a '14 Huna from Cigar City a few weeks back. Holy crap on a cracker is that beer good!
