Hi all, I’m new here. I started my keto journey 6 weeks ago to heal some gut issues. I test my ketones and blood glucose in the morning and I was very confused with the results I had this morning.
I had a very carb heavy meal last night (about 200g of carbs) and at my big surprise, my ketones were at 1.5 (which is higher than normal for me) and my blood glucose was normal (85). How is that possible? Any of you seen this before? Any logical explanation?

Your body has been producing more and more ketones over the last 6 weeks (if you have been good about your diet).
So, why would it stop just because you had a single heavy carb meal?
You measured a lot of ketones in your blood but, that is what is going (likely) unused while your body is running on glucose for a while.
The trick here is to understand that you (likely) can’t continue having proof-of-fat-burning ketones around much if you allow running on glucose to become a habit. Per @KetoGen - you are flexible but, won’t keep that if you are not careful.
