Can you simplify a breathometer for me?

You guys did a great job explaining, in simple terms, the whole basis and concept of a keto diet. Can someone do the same for me regarding what the various readings on my breath meter means?

I know that in the beginning the urine sticks are somewhat useful in determining whether or not we’ve obtained ketosis. Even if it doesn’t mean much scientifically, it certainly is a good motivator to see them turn purple.

And I know after a while those will start fading as your body stops excreting the ketones and instead starts using them, and that’s when we are to switch to breath or blood meters. So if I’m seeing a consistent positive number from my breath, that means my body is USING ketones? If it’s a very high number as opposed to a low number, what does that mean?

And basically, can I tell anything from the readings other than whether or not I still have ketones in my system?

P.S. And yes, I did read the 540 post thread on this.
