I am planning to make a day trip to Disneyland soon. Does anyone on here have experience going to Disneyland while on the Keto diet? How easy/hard do you find it to find food that fits into your meal plan?
Can you KETO at Disneyland?
Looks like of Disneyland’s website is a link for restaurants, and on this link are posted menus. May be able to get a better idea of which restaurants to target for low carb meals.
Thanks, I didn’t even think to check that out. However, I would still like to hear people’s experiences if they have any to share.
Turkey legs, check.
Salads dressed in lots of oil, check.
Burgers minus the bun, check, check.
It’s easy to do, it’s more a mental game than anything else - it’s saying no to all the carby snacks like popcorn, ice cream, etc that’s the difficult part. If you’re worried about it, bring some snacks with you too! Cheese, nuts, sausage sticks (like Slim Jims, but find ones without the filler) are all good options so you feel like you get the “snacking” experience.
So agree
When in doubt
Always have quick snacks available
Especially, since you are planning ahead to visit
And thinking Keto 1st🙂
If you like the sugar cinnamon sticks…aka Churros
Yummy!!
Use Stevia for the Splenda if Desired

Turkey legs aren’t that pure a slam dunk. Likely have brown sugar in the cure.
I have seen carb estimates between 0 (Livestrong) and 83 (MFP). Can’t find good data.
I think the carbs would be incidental - especially considering that you walk SO many miles at Disney.
I suspect so as well, but 1.5 TBSP of brown sugar is 14g. Not the best look if Meathead has the recipe.
I usually bring my own snacks to theme parks. I keep a backpack filled with goodies to keep us going all day long. Saves a lot of money (and time standing in line) too.
Make beef jerky, take cheese, nuts, olives. Eat burgers without buns. There are always food options, no need to cheat
Pecos Bill’s restaurant has a topping bar so you can get your burger (or taco salad, I think) and then load it up with tons of toppings.
And since you can bring your own food into the parks, it helps.
There’s also a low carb thread on allears.net that has some tips.
We go to Orlando in June for 2 weeks, I just know I will fall off the wagon. Will try and not go mad and straight back on it when I come home. ITs a holiday of a lifetime for us and going with 8 others I don’t want to be the awkward one (well thats my excuse)
You might like your memories of your chance of a lifetime if you don’t bring home a souvenir of lbs. Family, friends, and fun! So many delicious keto foods. Breakfast is the easy one. Have a great time!!!

When we always went to Disney, we’d just pack a cooler and leave it in the trunk. You can get a hand stamp for re-admittance and take the tram out to the parking lot for a picnic. It’s nice and quiet and you can eat what you want relatively cheaply compared to what you pay in the park.
Another approach I know to find keto friendly places is to Google phrases such as “Keto Disneyland” for results. (I’ve noticed this also works well to find keto friendly restaurants in various cities (i.e. “Keto Phoenix”) or specific restaurant chains (i.e. “Keto Jimmy Johns”), or even generic classifications of keto food (i.e. “Keto Fast Food”, or “Keto Whole Foods”))
We were there just a few months ago. Turkey Legs are great, and we made sure we packed in some beef jerky in case we needed a snack or something. And there’s also ordering a hamburger or all beef hotdog without the bun.
I haven’t been to Disney in about 13 years. I ate the turkey legs. More than one, by my recollection. They were fantastic. IMO if you are walking all over the damn place a little brown sugar in the mix is not going to do you in.
