Try it and see if you want to, but personally I count nothing and limit nothing. As I understand it the body needs more dietary fat when it has less body fat to burn which is why fasting often gets more difficult for people who don’t have much to lose.
Can I drink MCT-oil/butter or coconut oil in my coffee during fasting?
I am with you on the confused, I fast 16:8 the biggest reason I fast and KETO (60 days now) is to try to bring down my LDL cholesterol #'s And increase their particle size. I do just MTC oil and a little cream in my morning coffee(s) is that taking me out of fasting??? Inquiring minds would like to know

Not quite there, though somedays I can.
I get hungry at 10 PM and snack.
I can’t sleep hungry.
My goal is stop eating at 8pm, eat again at 12 pm.
If a bit of fat helps you get further in your fast I say go for it. Fasting went from very easy to get 3 days when I was fat, to near impossible to get 1. Whatever works for you. I’d recommend feasting on off days to keep your metabolism up but that’s just me.
