Calories

So is it ok or preferable to eat less calories if you hit your Macros? Or should you eat all your calories?

My advice is to not eat if you are not hungry. I asked about this when I started strict keto last March & that’s what I found out. The main thing is to keep your carbs low, your protein moderate, and eat fat to satiety.

Not everyone experiences satiety but if you do, it’s fine to listen to it even if you think maybe you didn’t eat enough that day.

Depending where you are in your keto journey, your appetite will vary so whatever you are experiencing this month could change next month, or 6 months from now.

When in doubt, consume more fat.

Hi Stewart,

If you have a lot of weight to loose, a lot of stored calories, it is fine to eat less. Just keep your cabs and proteins down. Your body will mobilize your fat for energy. If you are hungry, eat a bit more, more fat. If you are not hungry, don’t worry about eating more.

Keto for Life!

Best Regards,
Richard
