Have any of you purchased supplements specifically Plexus from a supplier using a HSA(health savings "pre-tax"dollars account). What is required? How did you do it? I need to buy a good pre/pro biotic. TIA😇 Geri
Buying Supplements with HSA dollars
@JustPeachy blood ketone and glucose strips are eligible for an FSA, HSA, or HRA without a prescription.
Yep! I buy on Amazon and then transfer back to my bank account. Love HSA.
I’m new to the forum so my apologies for being late to the thread. Regarding HSA coverage of ketone strips, the links above appear to describe coverage for BG strips and Ketone urine strips, but make no reference to blood ketone strips. Is it likely due to the “newness” of the blood ketone technology? What about breathe ketone meters like Ketonix…would they be covered?
I would like to assume the intent of the coverage is for diabetic aids as a whole, but am unsure. I’d hate to get caught in an IRS loophole. Thoughts?

Ketone test strips are eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA), or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA). Ketone test strips are not eligible with a dependent care flexible spending account (DCFSA) or a limited care flexible spending account (LCFSA).
