Hey all. Every morning I break my fast with a cup of bulletproof coffee. I have become addicted and can’t wait for my 16th hour to sit and enjoy it. My question is… is it ok to have every day? I do not eat again until around 2:00 pm after drinking it at 10:00 am. Thoughts?
Bulletproof coffee everyday?
I like to drink black coffee and keep fasting until dinner. If I’m not fasting, it’s great, but personally I’d rather eat my calories.
I wouldn’t get enough calories in if I did that… I weight train with a trainer. As it is, my performance declined. I really enjoy that bulletproof coffee
If you enjoy it and it doesn’t hold your progress back go for it. I like it too but it would hurt my maintenance if I did it every day. No weights here.
I used BPC when I first started Keto.
The more I became fat adapted, the easier it was to start extended fasting.
I would drink my BPC at 8am and slowly pushed lunch out from 2pm, to 3pm, to 4pm, to then being too full to eat dinner. Eventually I would have one BPC in the morning and only eat dinner.
Then I dropped the BPC as I realised it was harming my weight loss, I didn’t need that much dietary fat anymore as I was fuelling my body with my own body fat instead.
The best way to tell is your hunger diminishes, you no longer feel hungry or have much of an appetite and to me, eating almost became a chore.
It’ll happen naturally, you will eat lunch later and later until it just becomes dinner.
I my BPC and have one every day I am not fasting. Hasn’t hindered my progress so far.
I like BPC too, but of late It seems to have fallen off a bit, if I know I’m going to have a long day I add tsp of coconut oil to add sweetness and or a chunk of lint 100% dark chocolate just for fibre, honest.
Always (unless fasting). I even use a cheese slicer and foil candy wraps to make up individual packets of Kerrygold butter to take with me when I am travelling out of the US and can’t always get butter - especially Asia where it is unheard of. I can live w/o the cream if I have butter or vice versa but butter keeps at room temperature for weeks so easier to pack.
Caffeine activates adrenal and it for dam sure kicks me out of ketosis.

never had a BPC, they sound great just see no place to fit them into my day. I do make sure my bone broth has lots of animal fats in it, and have them just before dinner long past coffee time.
I make up 1/2 a lint square on top of 15g of K-gold as little bombs for coffee. Mornings.
After fasting I like a strong Assam tea with double cream and K-gold in it.
