Do any of our members in the UK know where to get US-style pork rinds so that I won’t have to go without Brenda’s totally lovely pancakes (waffles) while I’m visiting?
Thanks in advance!

Brenda's Pork Rind Pancakes - rinds in UK?
Hm… just checked and all the pork rinds on amazon.uk are sourced from the States so are hideously expensive. Looks like it might be possible to buy them online through UK companies - I was hoping to be able to pick them up in Tesco’s but I guess not…
Thanks for responding!
You might try popping in to a local butchers once you’re there. Some butchers know how the British cuts compare to the American ones and can help you translate trans-Atlantically. It won’t likely work on this side of the Pond, alas!
I’ve found some safe pork scratchings here but they’re no good for recipes that call for pork rinds as they can’t be made into breadcrumb size pieces. I’ve tried but they’re too wet (due to the layer of fat still attached) and anything that’s supposedly just the rinds is loaded with nasty additives.
Try an asian supermarket… not sure where you are but for example Wing Yip in Croydon sell “Chicarrones” which are fried pork skin which are more like the US rinds than UK pork scratchings. I have no idea why an asian supermarket sells a Spanish snack but there you go!
POSH brand is good. I got mine there when visiting my son. Available in big supermarkets
I found some in the Coop - no additives. Have to go back as we’re so delicious I ate them all in one go!
Thank you so much, all!!! And MarkGossange (sorry, I don’t know how to link names), I’m staying near Croydon so will definitely check into Wing Yip.
