BPC as a meal?

(Eve) #1

Question for you BPC drinkers. Can you take medicine with your bpc as if it were a meal? I’ve been very sick and haven’t been able to keep anything down. Yesterday I threw up all the meds that are supposed to make me better! Last night I was eventually able to drink some hwc. I just needed something.

Today my stomach is still wobbly but I need to get this medicine in so I can get better. But it’s supposed to be taken with a meal (probably so you don’t throw it up). So my question is, do you find that bpc is enough to take meds or vitamins with?

I’m hesitant to recommend it, since I’m not a doctor, and especially not yours. If your meds are supposed to be taken with food, that may have to do with how best to optimize absorption, rather than avoiding nausea or vomiting. If that’s the case, then you probably want to eat something, not just BPC.

But I do take my supplements (daily multivitamin, fish oil, calcium, etc.) with my butter coffee in the morning, and that’s usually sufficient to avoid stomach upset. If I take them with just water, it’s less pleasant, but still not awful, so I may not be the best n=1 for your case.

It really depends on why the meds are to be taken with a meal. Is it to prevent nausea, or is it because absorption is improved with a meal?

I don’t know. It’s an antibiotic.

Try it once, and see what happens. Take your meds with BPC…and then see what happens. From there, you will have a better idea if it works or not.

That’s what I’m thinking. If its for absorbtion, then BPC has to be better than nothing. And if it’s to prevent upset stomach then I’ll figure it out soon enough. Thanks for all your input.

I can, but I put collagen in mine - not sure if that makes a difference or not

I’ve seen that a lot of people do that. Whats the benefit if you don’t mind me asking?

When it comes to meds, especially antibiotics- where you are fighting a bacterial infection- and you are instructed to take with food, I would take with food! You don’t want stomach upset, or to have to take another round ( and kill off even more of your good gut flora)- so have with eggs or something quick. This is what I do.

It is supposed to help with skin and hair, reduce joint pain, strengthen nails, help with leaky gut, and the likes. It also gives me 11 grams of protein, in my morning coffee, which is great. I’m not a huge morning person, so I’m not usually ready to eat first thing in the morning. I drink a cup of this and I’m good to go for hours. I did a little reading on it, and couldn’t see any harm in trying it. This is the one I use: http://amzn.to/2n1ehxh.

Well I already had an upset stomach and was throwing up everything I ate. I lost a whole days worth of meds because of it. I discovered late in that first day that I could drink hwc with no issue. That’s why I thought of the BPC.

My stomach is better now. I didn’t eat all day yesterday until I was sure I wasn’t upchucking. So glad that’s over.

Can it also help with the loose skin?

(Candace) #13

That is my hope. The reason I’m trying it is one young lady, in one of my Facebook Forums, posted her before and after pictures. She said she read up on how to avoid loose skin and one of the things she listed was using collagen. I’m doing everything she listed! lol

I’m gonna have to try it out too.
