Bone broth protein powder

(Kitty) #1

If I get to the end of the day and I’m out of calories but still need 20g protein, is it ok to drink protein powder (as it’s low calorie and high protein)? What do you all think? This is bone broth protein powder with 20g protein and 2g carbs, 1g fat, 100 calories.

I would say so yes!

“Out of calories” is not a real thing…

What he said! Follow macros, not calories!

I LOVE that idea, unfortunately every time I do that I gain weight VERY quickly. The last time I gained 9 lbs in one week! Yikes!! I’ve worked too hard to lose 65 lbs and don’t want to gain it back.

Then perhaps rethink your macros? Do you mind sharing what they are now?

I do 50-60g protein, 20g or less carbs, and the rest fat. 1600 calories
I’m 5’6”, 110lbs, female, sedentary

I’m a 255# male and I shoot for about 50g protein…
