Hi! Your best bet for this question would be looking though the Ketogenic Athlete Facebook page.
But to answer your question, you just need to follow a typically keto protocol, high fat and low carbs. You may want to do a little more protein than most in keto, but don’t overdo it.
Avoid protein powders and try to get your protein from real food. Lift heavy, and accept that while you are transitioning you will have some loss of strength which is only due to your body transitioning, not to due to loss of strength. Push through it, keep lifting, and you’ll get there.
Ok so ive watched the SALT things podcast and a few q’s here and on the other hand i found this onehttps://selfhacked.com/blog/is-salt-good-or-bad-the-science-on-the-health-effects-of-salt/ and now idk what to believe ,is salt a mf good thing to do or not? Thanks again
Ketogains deals with a lot of this too https://ketogains.com.
Their subredit I hear mixed things about their advice, as it’s random people, but I’ve heard good things about the founder of that that does the site. From interviews with him and other bodybuilder types, it sounds like they do plenty of fasting as well, and actually have found you don’t need as high amounts of protein as many recommend (in fact, it seems protein requirements decrease the more advanced you get in body building, in general).
I don’t get the impression Cardio is really all that helpful beyond the fact that some people just like cardio, and it’s fine, but I’m no expert on that.
Thank you so much. What one should eat to have high IGF 1? Excluding carbohydrates
