Body Composition Test & Visceral Fat

(Tracy) #1

I had one of those body composition tests done at the YMCA. It was free and I know it’s not to be compared to a clinical test, but I think it was probably somewhat accurate. I have 94 pounds of muscle mass, 32 pounds of fat mass, 4 pounds of that was visceral fat, and 5 pounds of bone. Is having low visceral fat any kind of indicator of health? I literally just learned visceral fat existed yesterday when I had the test done.

When the pancreas beta cells get covered in it, it can’t secrete enough insulin.

Visceral fat goes right through the skeletal muscle tissue and everything it just doesn’t cover the internal organs it streaks right through the entire bodies lean tissue.

Have a peek:

That’s scary?

That’s where that high fructose corn syrup goes.
