Blood work

(Debbie) #1

I’m so excited and want to share my good news. First of all I’ve been doing keto now for 4 months and have lost 23 lbs. I got my blood work back back today and every thing is perfect. My cholesterol was mildly high, now it is perfect. Triglycerides which should be <150, I was 159 now I am 49. And it even put my potassium level back in range. I go to the doc’s Feb 9. For my physical, I can’t wait to discuss my blood work with him and the keto diet. Maybe I can make him a believer. Thank you everyone for the support on this group. A LOT of good reading and I have learned A lot. Also I just made cauliflower mashed taters the other day, omg. Sooo good.

Awesome sauce!! Great news! I just got a baseline yesterday and go back in one month for a checkup. I’m new to Keto, so I can’t wait to see good results too!

I have just been so excited on this program right from the beginning. I hate dieting, but this has been great, and now with the good results on blood work, well I guess I’m estactic. It gives me piece of mind knowing that I am so much healthier in just 4 months.
I’m sure your results will be great too. Let us know the good news

You betcha! We also have a health fair at work that I have been avoiding the past couple of years. I got a wake up call (that unfortunately didn’t completely work but made me more aware) two years ago when I went. My blood glucose was in the 200s and a nurse set me aside and talked to me about the effects that high of a bc reading was doing to my whole body. She said it was making my blood like a heavy viscous fluid that was scratching all my veins and arteries like sandpaper and causing damage. Damage to the organs too. The organ thing I knew, but the description of the blood caught my attention. I was so far gone that I had given up. So the news made me so sad because I knew my fate, but I never forgot it. Thank God that things happened in such a way to lead me to Keto and fasting. Maybe my fate will be better than dying of complications related to diabetes. I’ll take going in my sleep for $1000, Alex. You know like in 50-60 years…when I’m in my 90s or 100s.

We are both fortunate to have found keto.i have to admit in the beginning I was a bit worried with all the fat I was eating and already haveing a bad blood workup. I now have no doubt that keto is making me healthy.
How long have you been doing keto now?

@Debbie1 I’ve been dabbling since. November and got more serious in December just this past year 2017. Just a newbie learning everything.

@Debbie1 Well done, very well done. Trigs are plummeting. A great thing. LOL I read you comment about the cauliflower mashed taters and roared. They are so good. Outstanding transition, so glad you are part of our community.
