Blood work results question

Hello, I’ve started the Ketogenic diet Jan 18 2018 and have been doing great, first 30 days i lost about 28 LBS and the rest I’ve dropped about 5 more in 10 days. Feeling great!

I’ve been on high cholesterol and hypertension medication the last 5 years or so, i"m 37. I take Avapro and Crestor.

I just recently, yesterday, went for blood test and some of the results have me concerned (I am a very anxious person when it comes to medical things). 2 items that i don’t understand are bilirubin total at 24umol/L (normal range < 20) and Eosinophils 0.9 x E9/L (normal range 0.0 - 0.5).

Apart from that i believe my cholesterol seems in check and even my Ketones are up to 2.0 (they marked it as high) and I always have higher Erythrocytes and creatine in my urine, i believe the doc told me from the meds I take.

Has anyone had higher levels for the 2 items i posted above or can explain what they are?

What did your doctor tell you? I doubt anyone here is in a position to discuss either of these because they don’t really seem to relate to a ketogenic diet all by itself. Were you fasting for a long period (more than the normal 12 hours) before the blood draw?

After a cursory internet search, I would wonder why my doctor didn’t talk to me about them. Be proactive - call and get an answer. Ask if statins might influence either number. Eosinophils - looks like they might be localized to a specific area of the body to know what is going on. Don’t let it stew - that will just increase your cortisol levels, causing inflammation and a stall in weight loss.

Good luck getting an answer!

Thank you for the reply and you are right, I do have an appointment next Thursday to follow up on the blood work but more precisely on getting off my Avapro, blood pressure is down allot. I just wanted to see if any one else on Keto experienced something similar.
