My girlfriend and I are currently trying to figure out what foods affect us. She took her fasting blood sugar at one point before a meal and it was about 84. One hour after a meal it had dropped down To about 74 or maybe slightly lower… what does this mean. Is this the food showing a negative effect??

No, that’s probably just the effect of the insulin. If she had tested at half hour after eating it likely would have been up, but the insulin triggered by the meal did its work of getting some of the sugar out of the bloodstream.
