Just woke up and completed 36 hr fast. 7:00 am. Ketones 1.4 and Blood Sugar 93. But my blood pressure is up 10 points from normal to 140/80. Highest BP yet. Is it due to fast? Is adrenaline involved? Otherwise feeling fine. (I’m 65 male 195

I don’t have any answer. But I have experienced the same phenomenon when fasting. B/p up to 140/90. I’ve seen other people on various forums say the same happens to them but no one seems to know why. Usually people seem to respond with "blood pressure generally goes down with fasting "not really helpful. I will continue fasting and hope someday someone will have an answer.

I haven’t personally had that issue when fasting though I would like to point out that 140/80 is not extreme but not ideal for BP. Has it persisted now that your fed?
