May be worth trying ginger or apple cider vinger capsules. When you don’t have enough time to eat and process your food, your stomach generally won’t have enough acid in it to digest the food properly. Digestive enzymes or glycine could also help. All suggestions, not necessity.

Thanks so much @In2steam for the response. I did IF 16:2 for about 6 months with no changes but I wasn’t fat adapted nor was I eating Keto WOE. I hope to implement it again with better success.

My husband used to work 24 hour shifts; I think it was harder on me than it was him though.

I’m not very active unless you count chasing a 15mo, 4 year old, a new hound puppy and an old dachshund around. That’s enough for me right now but I do look forward to going back to Zumba soon!

Around week 3-5 I wasn’t as hungry. I was drinking bulletproof coffee, eating a small lunch and small dinner and I was fine. At week 6 it all changed. I’m hoping the sodium will help me get back on track.

I have found as I progressed my need of certain things changed. I never supplemented with salt until around 4 weeks. My fats were low, and protein higher, they have more or less switched. I also run a 40% below maintain on fat right now. I change things up pretty regular, exercise, intake, foods, %'s if you allow your body to stay in a good place to long it will fight you some.

I put a 6oz bottle of salt into a quart jar of bottle water. I just put two teaspoons of the solution into my bottled water. That’s the recipe I found online…?=

(Miss E) #25

You gotta let the salt dissolve before transferring it to your bottle otherwise it’s water with salt in it rather than salt water…if that makes sense?

(EMILY) #26

It does. I knew it wouldn’t be as good but I wanted to go ahead and give it a go. Tomorrow the solution should be much more potent!

(Miss E) #27

yep, definitely still a benefit but not as much. You’d be better off keeping that portion of salt water that you took out in the sole bottle and just chucking some salt in your every day water bottle. Or some bicarb or lemon, helps to alkalise your kidneys.

Good to know, thank you!!

(Miss E) #29

Hope this all has helped a little, good on you for reachinflg out.

(EMILY) #30

It has helped a lot, thank you. I’m going to keep drinking more water and start using the salt sole a couple times a day and of course, eat more fat.

Your ketone levels fluctuate constantly, evening is when most people have the best numbers. Don’t become obsessed with them. I’m rarely above 1.2 and typically around 0.5-0.8. I’ve lost 100lbs like that. Higher numbers do NOT mean faster fat loss!

(EMILY) #32

Thank you for the information and encouragement!

Good evening! I tested an hour after dinner and blood ketone levels measured 1.8! Looks like I’m doing okay.
I’ve eaten a couple tablespoons of coconut oil, drank sole water this evening after the solution sat all day and drank 5 bottles of water and still going strong!
