Can she handle a water and salt only 36-hour fast yet? Or at least a 24?
That might answer a lot.

I have not read the book, I’ll search for the audio version, as I drive a lot and that’s how I “read books”. Thanks. And I’m not sure on the fast. That had also crossed my mind to try as well.
Taking it one day at a time. I’ll have to talk to her and get a feel of if she can handle that currently with her work schedule without it adding to her stress. Although some people say it reduces stress, one less thing to do or worry about.
I’ll gather more data and readings, and post progress as it comes.
As you were suspecting, if there is no cheating or errors in diet, or errors in the glucose readings, I figured someone would have gone through the same thing as she is.
Will she join us here so we can get info “straight from the horses mouth” so to speak?
Okay… I THINK we have found the problem. SO, as everyone had suspected initially, including myself, there was an error in the process. Turns out she was keeping her glucometer and strips in her lunch box, and lunch box in the fridge the past few day.
After a quick google search, someone had the same high readings by about 30-40 points when left in the cold. “a chemical reaction happens when you test your blood glucose, the cold slows that reaction down resulting in a false reading.”
I only have 1 reading to confirm this was in fact the issue. She let it warm up over night and took a reading this morning. 93.
Exhausting, but I hope that was it. Thank you everyone, and I hope someone else will learn from this as well!
Oh, I know that is a relief to her! Glad you found the issue and thanks for reporting it here in case it happens to someone else down the road.
