Hey folks, I’ve been keto for awhile and two days ago had minor surgery for skin cancer removal. I was told to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) PRN for pain management. I’ve taken it according to directions, and have had perhaps 3 doses. Prior to this, I’ve rarely used the drug. A day into recovery, I have some abdominal bloating with weight gain that I haven’t had since starting keto. This is very upsetting. I can’t pinpoint any other changes in my diet/routine that might cause this. Bloating was a common problem for me before keto. Am I going nuts, or has anyone else out there had this experience with Tylenol? I’m going to DC the drug in the hopes that this solves my problem. But I would love to hear from any others who may have experienced this. Thanks!
Bloating and Tylenol (acetaminophen)?

Maybe it’s not the tylenol. You are using it to manage pain, and pain or stress will cause your body to release cortisol - a hormone that will make your body increase it’s glucose level and maybe kick you out of ketosis.
