Hey guys! I’ve been eating keto for about 2 weeks now. This weekend I got a bit off track and I had a handful of chips- felt ok just bad that I cheated, for lunch today I had fries! & I feel incredibly bloated and not just since the fries but I have and I know it’s part of the “keto flu” I notice that I have my belt on the last loop and I typically have 4-5 loops left. Feeing hopeless and ridiculous at the same time because I know I just started! Any advice would be appreciated!!
Bloat
The bloat was due to the carbs. Look how much your digestion has changed in just two weeks. The longer you go, the more noticeable the effects of eating carbs will become. I’d go a couple of more weeks without eating sugars and starches, just to insure you have more adaptation. Then, if you want to experiment a little with a few carbs on a periodic basis go ahead. You’ll find ones that don’t cause bloat. Fruits usually don’t. For me, candy doesn’t either. Grains do but potatoes don’t. It’s all about what works for you, just make sure eating them doesn’t become a chronic pattern.
Honestly they weren’t even good so hoping it was a good thing so I won’t be craving them!! Staying positive!
A couple of months back I fell for some freshly dug baby potatoes from my friend’s garden. I thought they would be so amazing. Actually they didn’t measure up to the anticipation. So nice to know that !
