I’ve been eating a variation of the ketogenic diet for the last 7 years and training for about 10 years (powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, etc). I started with The Anabolic Diet by Dr Mauro Di Pasquale and over the years highly modified it (basically by shortening the carb ups and reducing their size and frequency).
I consider myself well versed for the most part having read these books on the topic:
The Anabolic Diet
Natural Hormonal Enhancement- Rob Faigin
The Ketogenic Bible
The Vegetarian Myth
Protein Power
Why we get Fat
Fat Chance
The Paleo Solution
The Primal Blueprint
So I’m sure at one point I read this question and forgot it!.. But here it is.
With a goal of having the most relevant/accurate blood panel. What time of day should the blood be drawn, and should a keto’er fast before the test. How will these things effect the test results?
I generally get the LPP (Lipoprotein Particle Profile) run so that I can get an idea of actual size distribution of my lipoproteins and not some erroneous calculated LDL number.
Bonus Question: Has anyone gotten their arteries “scanned.” I’ve heard about this but don’t know anything about it. Is there a simple test to run in order to determine the actual amount of plaque in one’s arteries?
Thanks,
