Please bin this non keto thread if you see fit. It’s just click bate probably.
Be Vegan. Eat 110 suppliments a day. Live 200 years
Was just listening to a podcast the other day and they were making fun of that moron, priceless!
For someone looking for perfection is it rude to say he looks a bit freaky? … I actually like your moron label
Don’t forget “spends $2M a year on bio hacking”…
You could buy a lot of grass fed beef for that much
I actually love Bryan Johnson. Not specifically for any thing he’s doing, He’s freaky and off the rails for sure, but because he is the ultimate N=1 and he’s basically freely sharing the results of one of the most expensive and extensive personal experiments in history.
My 20 year old daughter said he’s the epitome of the older generation sucking the lifeblood out of the younger generation. In his case, literally.
Agreed. I’m curious, have there been any interesting and/or useful research results from his experiment that others could use?
(AKA “what’s in it for me/us?” )
Absolutely. Anyone doing something different, good or bad, must broaden overall knowledge.
The issue I have is that he’s doing So Much. His markers for aging - telomere length and I don’t know what else - show he’s aging much more slowly than ordinary humans, but I don’t know (and I don’t know if anyone knows) which of his dozens of hacks are making the difference. Is it calorie restriction? Is it HIIT? Is it a vegan diet? Hyperbaric oxygen? Social support? Is it the multitude of supplements? Is it the meditation? Is it the filial blood? Hopefully he’ll tease out some specific, possibly useful tidbits for the rest of us! (Or admit that either none of it made a difference, or the parts he got right were counteracted by the parts he didn’t. I have no idea if any of these reams of data will ever get detangled, but I still respect his willingness to share.)
