I just saw the dentist last week for my semi-annual cleaning and checkup - and I had significantly less tartar build-up this time than I used to have which I credit to this being my first visit where I was Keto the entire 6 months before it. I changed nothing else about brushing/flossing habits.
Be afraid ADA
Agreed, I was just responding to notion that theyâd have a defense. A defense probably but their only defense would be to claim they were clueless and they would almost certainly be forced to proceed forward differently.
Looking for to the day I can look back and say I knew the people that actually helped fix an international health crisis.
To be clearâŚwasnât advocating âchickening outâ. Merely suggesting that a lawsuit might not be a productive route. But again, IANAL. Maybe it would be a good route.
Differing over tactics isnât the same as differing over the goal. I fully support the goal of making those who continue to recommend low-fat high-carb diets accountable for that bad advice.
@baconnectar, Wasnât the first annual LCHF conference last year in South Africa (led by Prof Tim Noakes) sponsored by an insurance company. I wondered why that wasâŚthis helps explain it.
I believe change will come from the bottom, from the public, from you and me. Social media has changed things drastically as has the Internet. I can read articles and watch videos about LCHF and teach myself how to take back control of my health.
I am 67 and T2. I did not ask permission from my doctor to do LCHF but when I had my yearly âdiabetic wellness examâ and she saw that my A1C was now 5.2 just on metformin, my LDL was 44, my HDL was 92, triglycerides 66 (no statins), C-reactive protein .18 and I complained that I was getting dizzy because my formerly high bp was now below 100/50 (she took me off the meds), she asked me how I did it. I told her. THATâS how weâre going to do itâone person at a time.
ETA: And I forgot to add. Iâve lost over 100 pounds in the past year (no surgery, no drugs, no meetings, no special foodsâjust LCHF).
Funny, but eating this way can help your teeth because you can get good sources of vitamin k2 which is a calicim regulator and helps put that calcium in your teeth and bones instead of your arteries, you get it from grass fed butter and, pastured eggs and organ meats and different cheeseâs,and you can take it as a supplement,I take a combo d3 k2 supplement, and it helps with plaque buildup on teeth also and less sugar and carbs has made a noticeable difference in my teeth
