Actually the first thing I consumed that tasted delicious and felt wonderful - and inspired me to stop and consume half the Pacific Ocean - was a small glass of ice cold half and half, maybe four ounces. I’ve never had a problem with dairy when I’m healthy, and I think it was a perfectly fine fast-breaker for me when sick.
Bad salami and diet suggestions

Oh, that’s ok. . The mold - or bacteria - on the salami wasn’t that white kind I’m familiar with, it was, like yellow bumps. I just didn’t see it in the dark. Not that it matters in the least, but there was some 2-month-old salami in a deli bag, which was fine and I’d been nibbling on that for days, but somebody had put it in there on top of four or five slices of this other salami which, who knows, might have been from September. I’m pretty sanguine about my food, but I would not have eaten that. Sort of like what’s on this bacon.
Still, I can’t rule out that it could have been norovirus and not dicey salami, because as others have said, food poisoning usually does its worst in 24 hours and is finished, this just went on for days.
