Just made Mum a bacon butty, normally the smell would have me drooling but it smelt awful, almost made me gag. Wondering if it’s due to her copper non-stick pan? Hoping it smells good again once I get home, will be really upset if I’ve gone off bacon.

Oh god, you’ve got me worried now, she’s only just out of hospital, bacon was only bought a few days ago though.
Edit, just checked with her & it usually smells like that so am assuming it’s the pan.

Might be the Bacon brand as well. Let us know what you find out.

Are you sure you didn’t just wake up from a nightmare, because that sounds horrifying to me. 
Honestly I too was wondering if it had gone bad, but if you’re not used to that particular brand or cooking with copper, that could be it too.
Hope she’s okay. It would be terrible to have a bad food experience from bacon!

No idea Eric, either it was the brand or the pan, just glad it’s tasty now I’m home again.
