Bacon Festival in Cleveland, Tennessee

(Laurie) #1

Any Tennessee people here? I’m in Knoxville and this event is only about an hour away. http://ablackbearaffair.com/cleveland-bacon-festival/
There is a Facebook page as well. https://www.facebook.com/baconfestivalclevelandtn/
Sounds good to me!

Looks like it might be worth the drive from Michigan.

Road trip!

Hell, I’m in Chattanooga and haven’t heard of it! And we actually rented a house in Cleveland for a couple of yrs before we bought here. I also run up there once a week to visit the Y and have lunch with my girls. There is also a carniceria when I get my chicharones!

Oh Yipeee! That’s going on my schedule! :bacon::bacon::bacon:
Thanks for posting! See ya there!

(Laurie) #6

I just saw a random Facebook listing - hope it’s as good as it sounds

We’ll have to set up signal for 2KD peeps.

(Sophie) #8

Be sure to let me know if you are coming down. It’ll be fun! I think it’s the first year so I wonder how many folks will be there. The place isn’t that big. We can always arrange a time later. Yayyy! I love bacon!

Lobby them all for sugar free and uncured products! And watch those carbs in all the samples!

Better yet - make keto dishes to sell in a booth & make some converts!

(Laurie) #10

I sure will let you know. I sounds like it might be a big deal - but I have only driven through Cleveland so don’t have a concept of how many people it might draw. Is there anything else to do in Cleveland?

(Laurie) #11

Good advice! Sounds like you’ve been to a bacon festival in the past.

(Candy Lind) #12

Don’t I wish! LOL! But if you ever shopped for bacon, you know how many have added sugar. It stands to reason the carbivores will be there.

(Sophie) #13

Thanks, but I already looked at the booth prices and they want $100 as a starting price so fuck that.

(Sophie) #14

Honestly, I can’t think of anything. Hence my relocation to Chattanooga. :smirk:

(Laurie) #15

LOL - maybe that’s a good thing. I want it to be successful enough so it’s an annual event, but not too crowded so they run out of bacon

(Laurie) #16

Yes, good point!

(Sophie) #17

I totally get it! Lets keep our fingers crossed that it’s a successful venture and be happy that we are in on the ground floor. I want a friggin t-shirt to commemorate!

Can’t blame you there!
