Bacon-and-egg diet success! Break your stall!

I don’t know if I’m posting in the right place… I’m new… I have been reading and researching this place for a few months now and I never thought I would post, but I HAD TO SHARE THIS and possibly help others!!!

I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose. Just stubborn fat. I know my body and knew it was excess. I’ve been doing keto for about a year now. Before that I was gluten free/grain free for a year and it helped so much with bloating. Anyway, I did get a tad smaller/leaner on keto, but COULD NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME get to the weight I knew I could be… again, I know my body. I’m not all about the scale. I do measurements. But I also really just wanted to hit my target body weight, knowing myself for 38 years.

Anyway, I researched the bacon/egg fast (or you can do combined). RESEARCH it… the fat just started MELTING OFF MY BODY after 3 days! I am a pound under my goal weight and every time I look down at my legs (in the shower, or just sitting there, etc) I’m like… whoa… my legs did not look this small before… I started at 138 a year ago. For months I’ve been stuck at 133 and couldn’t budge another ounce. The day after the diet (3 days) I was 130. I went on vacation for a week and was regular keto without even trying I’m now 129! My goal was 130… lol. I know that’s only 4 pounds but when you’re stuck for so long and you know you can get to a certain place, it’s just annoying.

So anyway, if you want to break a stall… try either a bacon fast, an egg fast, or both… for a few days. research it to make sure you’re doing it right. You feel full and satisfied (unlike intermittent fasting, for me personally I hate it)… and I don’t feel sick of bacon or eggs… lol.

Sincerely - 38 yr/old female mom of two teens.

Summary - I’m 5’4 , was about 138 lbs a year ago… I’m finally 129 lbs! I haven’t seen 129 lbs since before getting pregnant with my first, 17 years ago! And because I like knowing other people’s measurements, I’m 34 (chest), 25 (waist) and 40 (hips/butt area). I would like to be 38 hips… lol… but my husband is protesting that. So far his prayers are being answered… oh well.

:heart_eyes_cat: Wow, KetoMom - congratulations! I think bacon and eggs are profoundly satisfying for many people - so not a bad thing to try, anyway.

Where did you find you info about the bacon and egg fast?

I actually got the idea from this site first! I saw someone else talking about it. Then I just googled it a bunch to make sure I was doing it right (portions, etc), and got some recipes… there are a few blogs that show up in a google search about other people’s experiences. Most of them are just doing egg. So the two things I researched were “egg fast” and “bacon experiment” and there are tons of info out there. :slight_smile:

Another variation many have used is the Steak & Eggs diet.
