Hi everyone!
I had my every 3 months A1c and TSH (for Hashimoto’s) blood work done this earlier this week, and yesterday was the appointment with my doctor to discuss the results. The appointment went really well.
I started Keto August 2017 with an A1c of 6.4 (taking glimepiride). I went off the glimepiride after 2 weeks. My November A1c was 6.1. And my A1c right now is 5.9! My TSH was way too low, and my thyroid medication needs adjusting, I guess because of my new way of eating and weight-loss. I’ve lost 62.4 lbs, so far.
My doctor must have been impressed. Before she left she told me I was “awesome” and that I was her “model diabetes patient.” She said I no longer need to see her every three months, just come to see her every year for my annual exam.
Yay!
