that’s actually a really good idea. Thanks! But won’t there be too much protein?
Ate too many carbs
But now that I think about it, is it possible that your family just doesn’t want you to bring shame to themselves publicly? As in, getting help just because you eat too much when “it is a problem that can be solved very easily” seems idiotic, making your whole family(especially you, but family also) ashamed?
If that is the case… I am not sure what to say now.
do you have any good ideas for something sweet when I crave for sweet food other than fat bombs?
When I crave something sweet:
- Easy pecan cookies
- Chocolate Donuts, although I make as cupcakes
- Breyer’s Carb Smart Chocolate Ice Cream
- Halo Top or Enlightened Ice Cream
- Big bowl of “custard” (based on cream cheese pancakes)
- Quickie No-bake Cheesecake
- “Muffin-in-a-minute”
- Protein Powder mini-cakes
- Jell-o Black Cherry Sugar Free Cups
- Root Beer Float (diet A&W root beer and whipped cream or HWC)
But I control the portion sizes. For example, I dish out the ice creams into a 4-ounce container and that’s all of it that I will have in a day.
I would think that attempting an EF this early on would be counterproductive? Satiety and hunger hormones are not normalized and fat adaptation has not occurred.
Sure, if it’s your first time in keto, an extended fast might not be the way to go, but ultimately it depends on the individual. I was used to fasting even when i was on a high carb diet. My first planned entry into ketosis was through an EF because i knew my body could handle it, to an extent. I went 24 hours until i got hungry and couldn’t wait out the feeling without food.
I would say that the best approach would be to experiment with what works for you. Try an IF for 8-12 hours,if possible, and listen to your body. If you get hungry, drink some water and wait 20 mins. Still hungry? drink more water and have some salt and wait another 20 minutes. still hungry? Ok, then eat a keto meal. KCKO
TL;DR- if you’re hungry, eat. If you’re not hungry, don’t eat. listen to your body.
I ate to many carbs when my husband came and handed me a candy bar. I told him no more after this one. He agreed… I’m flushing my body out with water now. I’m not giving up. Don’t you give up either!
