Listened to the new episode of the Keto Diet podcast. It addresses “artificial estrogens “ and weight gain, including how these affect insulin. I am a little discouraged and feel like there’s unnecessary fear mongering going on, discouraging people from eating “conventional “ meat . I obviously would agree that organic, pasture raised meat is preferable but not everyone can afford it. Is this something we should really worry a lot about? The guest on the podcast claims that ingesting artificial estrogens will result in the body “thinking it’s pregnant.” This seems inaccurate. Any feedback??
Artificial estrogens?

I am interested in this as well. My wife went through menopause at 27 and now at the age of 40 is having to take estrogen. Her weight has stalled recently and lines up with her usage and we are working with her use of Stevia and meal times to see if perhaps she still has some kind of insulin response that is detrimental. I told her I could not help much as far as the other hormones go as I know too little. I do understand that you are referring to the feeds fed the livestock however I have found the most useful information to come out of some of these topics. Thanks for the topic!
