Well in Latin, praepositio means ‘placed in front,’ so some people thought it had to be made literally true in English, since we use Latin grammar as our model, just as the Romans used Greek grammar as theirs. The reason it works reasonably well is that they are all Indo-European languages; but the reason it doesn’t work perfectly is that the Italic and Germanic branches of Indo-European diverged quite some time ago. Ending sentences with prepositions is like splitting infinitives; perfectly acceptable when properly done.

Censorship is a very very hard thing to do without creating as many problems as you’re trying to solve. The reason America doesn’t have hate speech problems is we don’t have hate speech laws.
