… that we can’t get from animal protein and fat?
Is it true that there has never been a RCT that proved we improve health outcomes eating fruit and veg? I have heard this, but couldn’t quite believe it!

Thinking anthropologically, I have a feeling we ingested quite a bit of fiber, even if it was only grass and dirt sticking to our food. As far as actual nutrients, I don’t know, it’s hard to let go of that “eat the rainbow for full nutrition” meme, isn’t it?
That’s my understanding. There are several nutrients that come from organ meats, and some are diminished if the meat is cooked beyond a certain temp.
In addition, some of the micronutrients people THINK we can only get from fruits and veggies aren’t necessarily the best form for us. Iron for example, is more easily used from meat than spinach.
