It’s like coffee, cream and sugar [without]… ie ACV, salt and cream of tartar. You can dial it down if you want but if you’re really cutting out sugar and craving inducing foods, cold turkey makes it normal way quicker in my opinion. I got used to black coffee in 10 days, I now feel like sparkling mineral water and acv tastes like apeltize!
Are paleo people right and peanuts are lethal?
I can’t handle ACV but I can do cream of tartar. I really don’t use much - just a pinch in a small glass of water (like 4oz) and I chug it down it’s not nearly as gross as ACV. I keep trying to drink water with ACV and it’s like my mouth rejects it. I always spit it out right away.
I also ate a lot of peanut butter as a kid. No doubt it contributed to my being fat. (Along with the bread and jelly). I also have to limit it, I can easily eat a jar a week. What happens is that it really blows apart my GI tract, having a laxative effect.
I prefer almond butter to peanut butter. Only people I know of who can’t eat peanuts if they want are the allergic ones. We have a neighbor who feeds the squirrels with them and they come and try to bury them in our yard, UGH.
A tad of peanut butter in SE Asian dishes is okay by me, but it isn’t something I would eat off a spoon, like my almond butter. To each, their own.
