Appliances for a Ketogenic Lifestyle

(Eva Smeets) #1

Hello everyone! Being someone who leads a ketogenic lifestyle and manages a shop appliances business, I thought I’d share a few gadgets that I believe would speed up keto meal preparation and make it a more fun experience. Depending on how you look at it, air fryers, blenders, food processors, and digital kitchen scales would ease every process of a low-carb, high-fat diet, be it making some fat bombs or preparing cauliflower rice. Does anyone else have a favourite keto appliance?

Welcome to forum. I’d put refrigerator first on the list.

Instant read and put in thermometers (probe thermometers). I also like sous vide machines. I have a few pounds of (frozen) brisket in the sous vide now. I’ll leave it in there for 24 hours, cool it in ice water, then cut it into my lunches.

Instant Pot or pressure cooker for making bone broth and many other things.

A good size freezer.

Not an appliance, but I’m a big fan of silicon ice cube trays and “baby food” or “Souper” molds. I do lots of broth, marrow, and fat freezing. I’ve been making duck confit “candies” lately.

I use my Ninja food processor to make waffles out of chicken thighs.

Also, just swapped out a side-by-side fridge/freezer for one with the freezer on the bottom so I can fit a baking sheet or large pot on a shelf in the fridge to cool overnight.

And of course… big upright freezer for bulk meat purchases from farmer and butcher.
