Apple Watch and HeartWatch

(Cate ) #1

I just got an Apple Watch that I barely know how to us (app suggestions anyone?) and I saw that there is a heart rate called the fat burning zone in the app HeartWatch. It’s a fairly low heart rate, you barely break a sweat. I’m used to pushing myself as hard as I can hoping for the best results, but now I’m wondering if I should slow things down…but then I was wondering if when you’re keto, every heart rate is a fat burning zone, because all you use is fat.

Can anyone explain this fat burning zone and if it is still a think of you’re in ketosis?

Definately slow things down for optimum fat burn. But for physical performance, you won’t be able to stay in that range. Depends what you want to do. If all you want is the most fat burn, nothing beats a long brisk walk. If you want to gain strength and build cardiac health, push it more.
