Apple cider vinegar HELP

#14

I do it straight in a shot glass and then chase it down quick glass of water.

Yeah… its vinegar. Its not going to be pleasant but you get used to it. Think of it as medicine because thats pretty much what it is.

Brush your teeth when you done.

Through that artificial sweetener in the trash

I mix it with a cup of cold water and drink it over ice. I only ever drink it that way, and I actually like it.

I have s soda stream so I just fizz up a litre of cold water and then add a tablespoon of acv. I would be lying if I said I loved it, but it’s growing on me.

I like your suggestion, Bob. And that ACV vinagrette works great as a dip for all proteins, too (steak, fish, pork, lamb, chicken…etc), and not just salads.

(Roxanne) #18

I just made a keto mustard based BBQ sauce that has a lot of ACB in it.

@madaboutchooks same here! I have 1T of ACV with cold sparkling water after dinner, and I actually like it.
The cold sparkling water makes it feel like I’m drinking something a bit more exciting than just ACV, maybe add a slice of lemon or lime in it too

I agree Lilphe. @carl takes it one step further and a few drops of bitters to it, and has dubbed this adult cocktail to be a “Carl Franklin”…

If you’ve just softened your enamel with acid, brushing directly afterwards isn’t good. Probably better just to swish with baking soda or plain water.

Pinch nose. Swallow. Do a funny little dance with tongue sticking out.

Done.

How I make fake “Kombucha”…

  1. Big cup
  2. Ice
  3. One shot of green tea (we have a Tassimo at work, hit the espresso setting so it’s concentrated - could really use any tea or pod system)
  4. 12 oz can of La Croix in USA (like lime or any sparkling water really)
  5. OPTIONAL! (No need for Forum to explode):Slice of some sort of citrus (like lime)
  6. Tablespoon or so of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar
5.) Few drops of Better Stevia

Thanks all for all the great ideas. I’ll give a few of them a try.

#25

I added it to my daily keto-aid today, it was tolerable. Since I’m at the bottom of the bottle ACV, ended up with some goobers in the bottom of my cup which was a bit gross!

I add salt and find it makes it much easier to drink. The salty flavor balances the tangy vinegar flavor.

I actually love the way it tastes this way and have about 1 oz in the morning and 1 oz at night. I dilute that with about 16 oz water and about 1/2 to 1 tsp of salt.

i don’t know why i didn’t think of salt…i’ll have to try that tomorrow
thanks!

why dont you folks just put it on your salads? The only time I drink it straight is as a trick to stop a major craving during fasting. Suck as the wife baking cookies LOL. Its great for that. whatever is in your stomach telling you to eat gets taken care of real quick. I dont seem to have those massive cravings as much as i did last year though.

Its all I put on my salads for dressing along with a little bit of avocado oil. I try to make sure to get a bit every day though just because its so good for you. Well worth any discomfort.

I mix it with about 3/4 cup of fizzy water (sodastream here too) and love it. I have read that it is not good to swallow it undiluted as it is rough on the throat.

#30

I use very little (a splash in a 24 oz) in water, but trying to drink more water and more ACV, so just keep on keeping on.

(Dustin Cade) #31

I stopped taking acv supps a while ago I never noticed a benefit with and no difference without… Probably just me though…

#32

I enjoy mixing mine with La Croix.

(eschor) #33

don’t know if this will help. but. as a child we drank it in salad dressing …so maybe try making olive oil dressing…over avocado maybe? or salad…or even marinate cooked steak(if any leftovers) in it. to me it quite delicious with other stuff.
