App to record ketone and blood glucose

(John Gicking) #1

Does anyone use an application on their phone to track their ketone and blood glucose measurements? Apple Health will record blood glucose but there isn’t a category for ketones.

There’s Heads Up Health that’s available in a browser, but I don’t think they have a specific app in the same way that Discourse does to use instead of launching it in a browser.

In myfitnesspal app (it may be premium, that’s all i’ve ever used, can’t stand ads), on the bottom “Progress” can be configured (via the web browser I think, I did it over a year ago) to custom things to track (LDL, HDL, Tris, Ketones, Glucose, etc.).

You can enter ketone levels into Cronometer.

I created an app for logging glucose and ketone readings. It displays your readings in a nice graph. It’s called KetoLogger. You can find it on the Apple app store here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/keto-logger/id1172189328?mt=8

There is a free app for Android devices called Glucosio. Its narrowly focused so its simple and easy to use. It takes only a couple of seconds to record glucose and ketone levels, and view trend graphs.

I’ve been using this. It’s pretty good.

The ketoplot IOS app is great! I have been using it for a week and it really helps me understand my trends https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/keto-plot/id1404696744?mt=8

As an aside I have been using the blood alcohol content to track Ketones … not perfect I grant you - esp if anyone else has access but given I am tee-total, is a good re-use of a marker.

Me too, apart from the tracking bit

If you are a premium myfitnesspal member you can record under “progress”, “+”, “select a measurement”; also, you can record if you use Heads Up Health web or app.
