Anyone watch "Dr. Boz" on Youtube?

Her Youtube videos are getting better and smoother, but she does tend to have a few technical troubles from time to time.

Anyway, I enjoyed her latest one on stalls and wondered what the community here thinks or knows on what she posted. She explains things well, but didn’t list sources for her information, something I would have liked to see. But perhaps this information is “common knowledge” that I didn’t know.

In the first few minutes the sound is off, but she fixes the problem and the rest is good.

I watch her sometimes, if the topic interests me. I have mixed feelings, but I think she is sincere and educated, even if she does sell exogenous ketones.

Yes, Ruina, she DOES sell ketones in a can! I think she started that because of her mother’s cancer. Generally, I don’t think anyone needs those.

I think I have heard of using exogenous ketones as a way of getting into ketosis, during fat adaption

Actually I think exogenous ketones are more for medical uses, for example in dementia, epilepsy or brain tumours. Not necessary for weight loss.

Personally I think this concept is completely erroneous. It will raise your ketones regardless of a carb rich diet. Being in ketosis is very different from having exogenous ketones in your blood.

The MCT Diet, which is common now for controlling childhood epilepsy uses large amount of MCT oil to raise the ketone levels to a therapeutic level without totally going low carb. This makes conformity easier for families with children who can’t work with very low carb diets for whatever reason.

The test strips will show ketones. If you’re not making them, you’re not “in ketosis” AFAIK.

OK I did watch the entire video. She has encouraged me to try the 36 hour fast again so here goes… tomorrow I will not be munching. I don’t love 36 hour fasts. 24 is easy but 36 is hard for me. To make it worthwhile I should eat a bunch of calories, keto of course, before 6 PM To rev up my metabolism.

Love Dr. Boz; she has great energy and a wonderful way of presenting information.

I agree!

Finished a 36 hour water fast. As she recommended. Just broke my fast with a big meal when the sun came up. As she recommended. Let you know
