Anyone on here a dietitian?

I am currently pursuing a career change in becoming an RDN to help others in the journey to keto. Just thought I would reach out and see if anyone could assist me with some questions. Also wondering if I can even pass the accreditation exam as being a keto believer means I do not follow what conventional nutrition knowledge states…

Thanks!

All you have to do is what everyone else does: parrot back the “facts” they give you so that you can pass the test at the end, then go on about your business. @nicolerecine is working towards her Nurse Practitioner degree after years as an RN and diabetes care professional. As far as I can tell, that’s what she does.

Considering just going this route… lol

Why don’t you pursue your degree at a school that teaches holistic/integrative nutrition? I know there are several out there. My sister went to one about 10 years ago in NYC and Jimmy Moores wife is currently going to one (I cannot remember the name).

Great idea. I am currently looking into a Master’s in Community Nutrition at UGA… I will have to see if there is something nearby.

While i love this idea… I hate that this is one of the first things that popped up. https://store.afpafitness.com/holistic-nutritionist-certification/

I am since 1983. I encourage you to pursue your dreams. I know so many people do see most RDNs as close-minded and I have to agree that many are. My RD friends know that I am open-minded. I see the younger ones as more so. About 11 years ago, a family member was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson’s. I told him I would do ketogenic. He thought that’s my crazy relative talking. A few years later, his new neurologist recommended it and he told them that his RD relative recommended it and the MD was surprised. He has been keto since his MD told him too and he has seen the benefits.
