RI saw my Natropath today and I have to say I came away feeling a little deflated.
If anyone would be keto friendly I thought she would be, I was surprised to find that she’s not across the new cholesterol studiies. She was concerned about my results the same results my keto friendly dr wasn’t worried about.
She was talking to me about a break diet. Give myself a break from the keto diet. TBH I’m reluctant to eat any kind
carb after my last fall off the wagon. The pain is not worth it… she also gave me a vla quadscan has anyone heard of this. I can’t find any reviews for it. And the other thing… she wouldn’t discuss the results… she has booked me in for another appointment to discuss in detail the results, I couldn’t help thinking “oh here we go a revenue making exercise” pardon the skepticism … My understanding is that it’s like a dexa scan without the harmful radiation. At least with a dexa scan I walk out with the results in my hand,
Here’s a link to a video about it.
I asked if she’d heard or read anything about dr taubes , professor noakes et al… her answer… something to the effect that she’s too busy and her Natropathy has her focus on other areas not just weight loss. … umm it’s not just about the weight loss.
Anyone heard about VLA Quadscan by metagenics?

My experience has been that naturopaths stick to a pretty set, supposedly more natural way of healing but I’ve never seen one that keeps up with standard medicine (I’m sure they’re out there). I don’t mean to offend you, but my traditional doctor has read up on all the studies and “prescribed” keto for me. My GP is fully behind it as well. Maybe look for a new doctor?

I have found a keto GP. I thought visiting my Natropath would help … attack my health isssues from both sides.

Does this help? Seems like they’re saying that it’s comparable with a DEXA scan at certain BMIs but not others?
