The plain Sea Salt variety looks fine:
Although the other varieties are also carb-free, they contain a lot of other stuff. Many pork rinds contain carbs, by the way. So this looks like an excellent replacement. Just a reminder, however, if you’re on keto to lose weight, snacking is not going to help you.
I’ll add that although I tried heartily, I could never like pork rinds. Eventually, I went to bacon bits. One additional advantage for me with bacon bits, since I don’t ‘snack’, is they lend themselves much better to incorporating into other foods in a meal. For example, one of my standard ‘at work’ meals includes a mix of macadamia nuts and bacon bits. I also often add bacon bits to a salad.
The closest I got to tolerating pork rinds was dipped in Tostitos Hot Salsa. Only because the salsa dominated everything!
I’m from WV and pork rinds and pimiento cheese are staples. When I went for a visit I didn’t have much food choices so I topped pork rinds with pimiento cheese and bologna. It makes an excellent hillbilly hor d’oeuvre.
Wow that’s my most favorite part of the fish, will have to try them…yummy!
