I was about to say count me in, I haven’t drank since October of last year lol!
Anyone fancy joining me in a booze free July?
I’d love to! I’m so ready to give it up completely haven’t had a drop since starting keto and wouldn’t mind never having alcohol again. I am worried about my friend visiting this friday Saturday and Sunday for some reason she triggers me to drink but no one else does. Hmm. Any advice on that? I do enjoy her but she can be rather intense energy wise (manic bipolar) and I seem to cope with that with alcohol in the past.
I just drink tequila and I’ve been steadily losing weight the entire time. It’s not hindering me so no reason to give it up. Plus my birthday is in July and I plan on celebrating it right.

Do it, do it! You won’t regret it! I juts never think about booze any more. Just not on my radar screen.
I’l join you but it’s not much of an effort for me, I generally only drink on special occasion or if someone gifts me particularly good bottle of champers.
Slip her a valium or 3? Sorry, no actual advice for you, think I’ll find it hard with friends as well, fingers crossed you make it through, and even if you do have a few it’s not the end of the world.
Prior to going keto I was a hard drinker and would frequently (a couple times a week) consume a whole bottle of rum in a single evening. I stopped drinking for the 1st 4 weeks and then had 1 or 2 shots (cant remember for sure as it’s been a couple weeks now) and didn’t feel any effect from the alcohol that night but the next day I had a terrible hangover so not drinking anymore has become simple for me. I won’t say I’ll never try it again but for now I’m done drinking. Luckily going keto has helped my mood enough that I no longer feel the need to escape or have my mind be numb.
If you are struggling not to drink my Dr recommended to me that I start taking dopa mucuna. It’s got a high amount of the amino acid L dopamine which the body turns into dopamine. He said it helps people get off alcohol, opiates, and other narcotics as well and being a mood enhancer and it even gives people energy. I’ve never actually tried it and don’t know if it’s keto friendly but it’s worth a look.
Today’s the kind of day I’d normally have several drinks (4x longer journey to/from work, client being utter cockwomble) but am toughing it out, pretty sure my liver appreciates the water & lemon.
Breeeeeeeathe…
I’ve had a “glorious” day myself.
Our work is done for the day here in UK / Europe…
Now those in the US can take over and deal with the foolz…
Our turn again tomorrow…
