Hey there! I’ve doing OMAD since January: lost nothing, I added Keto in June and shrank 1 size with no weight loss. It is now November and I am up and down the same 5 pounds.
I drink coffee in the AM ( I do add a TBSP of heavy whipping cream). And dinner is usually a salad with meat and cheese. Dessert is a fat bomb or A Keto whipped cream. On weekends I have 2 meals and may make some Keto crackers or bread…one of my food allergies is too eggs so I have to use a flax egg. I have over 100 lbs to lose, I would have thought by now I would have some weight loss.
I use the keto urine strips and they only show ketones if I fast for up to 48 hours. As soon as I eat the ketones are gone until I fast again for up to 48 hours. I have been trying 2- 48 hours a week, but man it is hard. I know I don’t eat enough but I was on a crazy 800 cal a day diet for 2 years… I lost a bunch of weight and put it all and more back on again… you know that story. Anybody have any advise? My nutritionist says I am insulin resistant
Any advise would be welcome!
Good Idea!
I can’t seem to post as a Jpeg…
So here it is:
7g out of 17 n carbs
13g total carbs
5g fiber
78g out of 105g fat
73g out of 84g protein
1040 out of 1350 n calories
This was yesterday and it is pretty much every day unless I try to do my 48 hour fasts.
Hi Michelle,
Not a lot of activity on your question so I thought I’d dive in.
Without knowing your vitals: Age, height & weight as well as activity level, this is just a WAG…but if you’re having coffee with hwc then a salad dinner and that’s it on weekdays, then I’m feeling like you’re not eating enough.
I try to:
-
always hit my protein macro (abt 100-150g a day for me, it’ll be less for you)
-
always keep my carbs low (lower the better…I keep mine around 10-15 net per day, 25-30 Total per day). I eat some above ground veg.
-
Eat fats when hungry…Sometimes that’s 75 g per day, sometimes it’s 190 grams. I use butter, bacon fat, olive oil, hwc, cheeses, etc.
-
I try to stay away from sweeteners, ketofied junk foods, etc. Eat meals, not snacks.
-
I also try to finish eating 5-6 hours before bed and not eat the following day before noon.
Dial it in for you. Good luck!
I agree with GodwinGoGo. I was eating at a huge deficit at first between 850-1250 cal (I refuse to eat after a certain time and before a certain time- and I don’t eat much when I’m on errand). It wasnt until I upped calories that I really started to lose. You also want to make sure you’re not eating too much protien for your activity level. I’d snack on fat until satiety, least impact on your insulin. Good luck!
